Blairstown, NJ - We returned to the Kittatinny region about 2 weeks after our last social hike of February. Raccoon Ridge met us with fogged-out views and drizzle; we hoped that by the time we returned to visit Catfish Mountain, we'd have some views to show off.
This was not the case. When we arrived at the Mohican Outdoor Center in Blairstown for our first social hike in March, we were again met by fog and drizzle, but this time we were also met with a thick layer of ice and snow.
We didn't spend too much extra time taking in the sights as most of the sights were again non-existent. Nevertheless, it was another good test of will and determination and the fire tower provided just enough special interest to make this an interesting, albeit uncomfortable, hike.
