West Milford, NJ - After the Kittatinny region gave us 2 foggy, wet Proactive social hikes in a row, we were excited to hit the trails off of Burnt Meadow Road to travel from Long Hill to Horsepond Mountain on what looked like it would be a beautiful day.
The weather did not disappoint as we were joined by a great group - some return members and some brand new faces - for the last social hike of the winter season. Sure, we hit some snow and ice, but the sky was clear and the air was comfortable.
This was a leisurely St. Patrick's Day trek; we stayed on the green trail the entire time. We're excited to get rid of the jackets and spikes! Stay tuned for a packed spring schedule - be proactive, join the adventure.
