Guardians of the Highlands

Distance: Approx. 15 miles / 3900 ft gain

*** This event is part of the Strenuous Series and is meant for indivduals with advanced physical and mental capability and is designed to be extremely difficult. We will be moving at a fast pace over rugged terrain for long distances, forgoing breaks and moving quickly. Upon completion of the full route, participants will be awarded a Strenuous Series PROACTIVE Patch. ***

The southern gate of the Hudson Highlands is formed by a series of peaks within Bear Mountain State Park -- Cat’s Elbow, Dunderberg Mountain, West Mountain, The Timp, and Bear Mountain. A rugged route will cover them all, leading to many of the most notable scenes in the area.
