High Tor

Distance: 5 miles / 860 ft gain

Time: 3.5 hours

[EASY] High Tor offers outstanding views of the Hudson River, the Hudson Highlands to the north, and the town of Haverstraw below. Its vantage point made it an ideal location for Revolutionary War-era beacons and an air raid watch during World War II.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the execution of this event may be altered to preserve the health and safety of all involved. As new information is made available we my choose to change the time, location, route, capacity, social distancing guidelines, required PPE, etc. Any alterations will be communicated to registrants via email and social media. Our waiver has been updated to include language acknowledging the possible health risk that is presented by congregating amidst a global pandemic. Following the most recent recommendations from health officials and state governments, we will include particular safety guidelines for each event in the final email sent to registrants prior to the event.
