North Point

Distance: Approx. 5 miles / 1192 ft gain

Time: 3.5 hours walk-time

[MODERATE]  North Point is one of the Catskills’ most iconic ledges, overlooking the most popular area in the entire region. It is a quintessential “Thomas Cole” view that was reproduced in some of the famous artist’s most striking paintings. Sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor attire required. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We will hike rain or shine barring extraordinarily dangerous conditions such as lightning, hurricane, blizzard etc.
