Raccoon Ridge feat. Sunfish Pond

Difficulty: Hard

Distance: Approx. 7 miles

Time: 4.5 hours

This visit to Raccoon Ridge in the Kittatinnies will present more of a challenge than our previous visit this past winter. We'll find a steep climb up to the sweeping views from the ridge and hit Sunfish Pond before making the trek back, visiting the interesting, less-traveled Rock Cores trail to finish the route.

Sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor attire required. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We will hike rain or shine barring extraordinarily dangerous conditions such as lightning, hurricane, blizzard etc.
