About the Event

Difficulty: Easy

Distance: Approx. 4 miles

Time: 2-4 hours

Our adopted trail is need of a facelift - come give us a hand with a bit of maintenance & then rest it off at South Redoubt. This location was used during the Revolutionary War as the site of two redoubts to defend West Point and the Hudson River. George Washington was inspecting the location in September 1780 as Benedict Arnold was being exposed as a traitor. A view with history.

We will have a select number of tools required to complete any maintenance. Nobody is required to perform any work unless they want to, but remember that trail maintenance is a main purpose of our trip. Sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor attire required. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We will hike rain or shine barring extraordinarily dangerous conditions such as lightning, hurricane, blizzard etc.
