Schunemunk Megaliths

Time: 5 hours walk-time

[MODERATE] Views and unique pitch pine habitats define the upper elevations of Schunemunk Mountain. A heavy climb up the hillside leads to the Megaliths and sightlines towards the numerous regions that encircle Orange County’s highest peak. Sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor attire required. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We will hike rain or shine barring extraordinarily dangerous conditions such as lightning, hurricane, blizzard etc.
