Timp & Bald Mountain feat. Doodletown

Distance: Approx. 6.5 miles / 1440 ft gain

Time: 4.5 hours walk-time

[MODERATE]  Wide views of the Hudson Highlands are available from the Timp and Bald Mountain, two peaks that can often be identified from afar. The route makes use of revolutionary-era roads, and passes through the abandoned hamlet of Doodletown. 

Sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor attire required. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We will hike rain or shine barring extraordinarily dangerous conditions such as lightning, hurricane, blizzard etc.
