Top of the Gunks

We're heading to High Point before hitting all of the sweet spots in its vicinity - Verkeerderkill Falls, the Ice Caves, and Sam's Point. Damage done from a forest fire from a few years back sets a very alien scene on the top of the ridge as the landscape slowly recovers. This is the type of Shawangunk hike that finds us less on the flat, manicured walkways and more on some solid trails atop the ridge with countless views.

Sturdy footwear and appropriate outdoor attire required. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks. We will hike rain or shine barring extraordinarily dangerous conditions such as lightning, hurricane, blizzard etc.
