About the Event

Difficulty: EASY-MODERATE

Distance: 2.4 miles/525 ft gain

Time: 4 hours walk time

[EASY-MODERATE] Enjoy one of New Jersey’s finest views at the bald, 360° summit of Wyanokie High Point -- a prime example of why the Wyanokie Mountains have been referred to as the “Adirondacks of New Jersey”. The steep initial climb up to the Wyanokie ridge is steady with occasional, short flats. After gradual gain to the base of High Point, a short -- but steep -- scramble leads to the summit. The route returns back down the scramble and ridgeline to the parking area. Dogs are not permitted on the section of the Otter Hole Trail that passes through New Weis Center and Highlands Natural Pool Property. A separate group will escort canine participants onto Snake Den Rd to merge with Group A at the Hewitt Butler Trailhead.
